Christmas

Christmas is the time of year Christians all around the world celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

To some; Christmas is but a story and the Nativity is but a  school play.  For others, Christmas is the only time of year they will enter a church to hear Christmas Carols.

But Christmas is so much more than that.  As we enter Advent and count down the days to Christmas Day by opening a 'door' on an advent calendar, I urge you to also read the true story of Jesus' birth, life, death and resurrection - the beginning of the Christian faith; captured in the book of Luke, which is found in The Bible.   There are 24 short chapters in Luke, the same number of days as on your Advent Calendar.  Why not make Christmas 2024 the year when you read the true story of Christmas.

At Christ Church we hold lots of events leading up to a special celebration on Christmas Day morning.  We invite you to join us at any or all of our services, that you may find Hope, Faith, Peace and Love in Jesus Christ.

And, if you want to take up the challenge to read 'the true story of Christmas' over Advent, click on the link to take you to BibleGateway.com which is an online Bible, accessible from any device.
